He set up his own company back in 2004, became a limited company in 2009 and went on to be awarded the status of 'Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor' which there are only a few other companies to have ever achieved this status in the North East.

He employs three others to work with him: his lead climber Lee Daglish, Operations manager David Layton & our newest addition Reece Curtis our apprentice.

With Chris Gill Tree Surgery as your Arborists, they will meet your expectations and surpass them by miles!

David Layton
Opperations Manager

-NPTC CS: 30, 31, 38, Woodchipper, Stumpgrinder

I worked with Dave when I first left college and his ability and work ethic really made an impression on me, when a position arose within Chris Gill Tree Surgery there was only one candidate that would fill the post perfectly and that was Dave.

Dave is working towards becoming the health & safety appointed person within the company and has just passed the IOSH managing health & safety at work course.

In his younger years dave has worked on trees of such a size that others have walked away from, now his role is managing and running jobs along with bringing on our newest addition to the company, our apprentice Reece Curtis.
